1. About This Service

Security Jobs UK ("we", "us", "our") operates securityjobsuk.co.uk — a specialist job board connecting UK employers with SIA-licensed security professionals. By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

We are a platform only. We facilitate connections between employers and candidates but are not party to any employment relationship that results from use of this site.

2. Employer Obligations

If you post a job as an employer, you confirm and warrant that:

• You are a legitimate UK-based employer or recruitment agency authorised to advertise the role.
• All information in your job posting is accurate, current, and not misleading.
• The role genuinely exists and you intend to fill it.
• Any SIA licence requirements stated are accurate and appropriate for the role being advertised.
• Your job posting complies with all applicable UK employment law, including the Equality Act 2010.
• You will handle candidate applications and personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and data protection law.
• You will not use candidate contact details for any purpose other than assessing their application for the advertised role.

3. Candidate Obligations

If you apply for a job as a candidate, you confirm that:

• The information you provide in your application (name, contact details, cover note) is accurate and truthful.
• You will not submit speculative, spam, or bulk applications unrelated to the advertised role.
• You will not submit applications on behalf of another person without their knowledge and consent.
• You understand that your application details will be shared with the employer who posted the role.

4. Job Posting Rules

All job postings must comply with the following rules:

• The role must be a genuine, active vacancy in the UK security industry.
• Salary information must be accurate. Deliberately misleading salary ranges are not permitted.
• Location information must be accurate. Roles cannot be listed as "nationwide" unless genuinely so.
• Job postings are active for 30 days from the date of publication, after which they expire automatically.
• You must not post the same role multiple times to gain additional visibility.
• Job titles must reflect the actual nature of the role and not be used for SEO manipulation.

We reserve the right to remove any listing that violates these rules without notice or refund.

5. Prohibited Content

The following are strictly prohibited on Security Jobs UK:

• Job listings for roles that do not exist or have already been filled.
• Listings that discriminate on the basis of age, race, sex, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010.
• Listings that advertise illegal activities or roles that would require an individual to act unlawfully.
• Listings that misrepresent SIA licence requirements — for example, requiring a licence type that is not legally required for the role.
• Listings designed to harvest candidate data rather than fill a genuine vacancy.
• Any content that is defamatory, fraudulent, or otherwise unlawful.

6. Payment Terms

Job postings are paid for on a one-time, per-listing basis. Payment is processed securely via Stripe at the time of posting.

• No refunds — once a job listing has been published and made live on the site, no refund will be issued. You are paying for the listing to be posted, not for specific hiring outcomes.
• Error refunds — if a technical error on our part resulted in your listing not being published correctly, or if we remove your listing in error, we will issue a full refund.
• All prices are quoted in GBP and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
• We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. Changes will not affect listings already purchased.

7. Our Role as a Platform

Security Jobs UK is a platform that facilitates connections between employers and job seekers. We are not an employment agency. We do not vet, endorse, or take responsibility for any employer, candidate, job listing, or hiring decision made through this site.

We are not responsible for the accuracy of any job listing posted by an employer. Candidates should conduct their own due diligence before applying to or accepting any role. We strongly recommend verifying that any employer is legitimate and that any stated SIA licence requirements are accurate.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any hiring decisions made, or not made, as a result of using this platform.
• We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from inaccurate information in a job listing.
• We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or loss of profit arising from use of the site.
• Our total liability to any party shall not exceed the amount paid by that party for the service giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

9. Intellectual Property

The content, design, and code of this website are the property of Security Jobs UK. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of this site without our express written permission. Job listings remain the intellectual property of the employer who posted them.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the platform for any user or employer who violates these terms, engages in abusive or fraudulent behaviour, or otherwise acts in a manner that is harmful to the platform or its users. No refund will be issued in cases of termination due to a breach of these terms.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when they were last revised. Continued use of the site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from use of this website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
